The Coro Furlan is the only Male Italian Choir remaining in Melbourne. The Choir is an all-male Italian choir from the region of Friuli. The songs are in Friulian which is one of the languages spoken in Italy, apart from Italian; other songs are sung in the Veneto dialect, and in Italian; the Choir sings Masses in Latin as well. The Choir maintains a heritage and a culture of the area, and enjoys singing and performing these songs.

It is over 35 Years since the Coro Furlan Melbourne was formed; we are looking for the next generation of choristers to carry on part of the Italian migration history in Australia. This is a traditional Italian Male Choir. Our present singers want to pass on the music to the second generation of Italian descent and maintain its musical culture. You do not have to be Italian or come from Friuli to participate, but only to have a passion for Italian Music which is famous world wide. Our charter is to maintain the traditional Friulian music. We are the custodians for Friulian choral music in Australia.
